Welcome to Penn Model Congress 2017! I am going to be your committee chair for the conference. My name is Sigal Spitzer and I am a freshman in the College of Arts and Sciences at the University of Pennsylvania from Los Angeles, California. Though I am officially an undeclared major, I am looking to study Philosophy, Politics and Economics with a minor in Consumer Psychology. I began attending the Penn Model Congress competitions as a freshman in high school, and am excited for my first opportunity to be sitting on the other side of the room. As a chair, I look forward to engaging in honest debate and intellectual dialogue with my delegates. Outside of Model Congress, I am also involved in the Hillel community, TableTalk, the Penn Israel Public Affairs Committee and a business-investing group called TAMID. During my free time, I love exploring greater Philadelphia and playing sports or going for a run. Please feel free to reach out before the conference with any questions or concerns. My email is Looking forward to PennMC2017.

Hi! My name is Max and I'm a Junior in the College of Arts and Sciences studying Philosophy, Politics and Economics, concentrating in Public Policy and Governance and with a minor in Hispanic Studies. I participated in the Harvard Model Congress conference all throughout high school in Armonk, NY, and this is my third year at Penn chairing the conference here. At Penn, I'm a member of the Mask and Wig Club, one of the nation's oldest collegiate musical comedy troupes, The Philomathean Society, the nation's oldest literary society, my fraternity, ZBT, and TableTalk, an organization designed to create connections between individuals and groups that wouldn't otherwise communicate. Outside of Penn, I'm actually a professional opera singer, and sing for companies including Opera Philadelphia, Opera Delaware, the Boston Symphony Orchestra and Pops as well as the Philadelphia Orchestra. Feel free to reach out to me for any questions regarding the conference, Penn, music or just about anything--you can reach me at Looking forward to meeting you and engaging in some exciting political discourse!
